<p>On permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Takashi Murakami&#8217;s iconic 727 featuring his infamous DOB character is now available with 3 spectacular new prints.</p>
<p>Each piece measures 89cm x 65.7cm and comes from an edition of 300 &#8211; each signed and numbered by the artist.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We&#8217;re delighted to be able to offer a very special Silkscreen edition of <strong>Takashi Murakami&#8217;s</strong> classic <strong>727</strong>.</p>
<p>Takashi Murakami&#8217;s 727 is widely considered the artist&#8217;s most iconic artwork. The piece was originally painted in 1996 and is housed in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) New York.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kumicontemporary.com/view/takashi-murakami-727-silkscreen-print.html"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-682" src="http://www.kumicontemporary.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/takashi_murakami_727_silkscreen.jpg" alt="Takashi Murakami 727" width="1500" height="1050" /></a></p>
<p>Originally released as a lithograph edition of 300, 727 soon became one of Murakami&#8217;s most sought after works.</p>
<p>This edition of 100 uses a silkscreen printing process which involves applying one colour at a time over several layers. This ancient craft results in a stunning reproduction of the original work which itself involved applying 20 layers of paint.</p>
